João Pedro Ellery

João Pedro Ellery is a Brazilian-born architect. He completed his Bachelor of Architecture at Syracuse University with a Minor in Geography at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. He has over 5 years of professional experience in architecture in Brazil and New York and currently works at Alia Architecture in Mexico City.

At Syracuse University he spent a semester abroad in New York City, where he learned about Urban Systems and Problems, and first engaged with Real Estate Development from a theoretical perspective to a full project development and financial analysis. He now occasionally participates as a guest critic in Columbia University’s GSAPP Brazilian Real Estate course.

His undergraduate thesis reimagines the typology of data centers to generate productive ecologies. Through cartographic analysis and cross-programing, he developed sustainable frameworks that merge technology with environmental sensitivity, underscoring his commitment to research-driven, innovative design.
